DESCRIPTION

Optical connectors on Pigtails, patchcords and cables are plugged into female bulkhead adapters, both of which needs to be inspected for contamination to prevent damage on measurement equipment test ports, transmission equipment connector panels and optical distribution frames to ensure minimum loss and best performance. A variety of tips with varied length or angle can be used to reach recessed connections in high density configurations. Different tips are required to inspect a variety of connector styles based on if the ferrule has PC or APC polished end faces, if ferrule materal is ceramic or metal and even if for single or multi-fiber cable.
