Pulser Fault Locator
DESCRIPTION
The TEMPO Communications PE2003-G Pulser Ground Fault Locator identifies the exact location of even the smallest breaks in buried wire and cable insulation by “pulsing” a high-voltage signal that radiates into the ground at the location of the faults. With the A-frame mounted receiver, a visual analog meter points the way to the source of the voltage.
OVERVIEW
- Identifies the exact location of even the smallest breaks in insulation by "pulsing" a high-voltage signal that radiates into the earth at the location of the faults. With the A-frame mounted receiver, a visual analog meter points the way to the source of the voltage
- Multiple faults on a single wire can be identified indicating the need to replace instead of repair
- Extra-long test leads feature heavy-duty alligator clips for use on multiple cable types
- Includes a rechargeable transmitter, receiver, A-frame, ground stake,120V charger and a 12V DC (cigarette lighter) adapter
- Battery operated (one rechargeable 12V and one 9V battery). 9V is not included.
- Molded carrying case included

Common Questions About the Tempo PE2003-G Pulser Ground Fault Locator
What is the Tempo PE2003-G used for?
The Tempo PE2003-G is used to pinpoint breaks and faults in the insulation of buried wire and cable by sending a high voltage pulse that radiates into the ground at the fault location.
Can the PE2003-G locate multiple faults on the same wire?
Yes. The PE2003-G can identify multiple insulation faults along a single wire, helping technicians determine whether a cable should be repaired or replaced.
How does the PE2003-G help pinpoint the location of a ground fault?
The transmitter pulses a high voltage signal through the cable, while the A frame mounted receiver uses a visual analog meter to guide the technician toward the location where the signal is escaping into the ground.
