DESCRIPTION
The OPTIX America mini optical fiber identifier features a compact, convenient design ideal for field use. It accurately detects attenuation, signal direction, and approximate optical power through macrobending measurement on 250µm, 900µm, 2mm, and 3mm diameter fiber cables. The unit supports tone identification at fixed frequencies of 270Hz, 1kHz, and 2 kHz, and detects both the direction and intensity of optical signals with insertion loss of less than 1dB at 1310nm and 1550nm. A bell-shaped groove fiber clamp ensures low insertion loss while preventing damage to the fiber. The identifier is powered by a built-in 500mAh lithium battery that provides up to 24 hours of operation and recharges conveniently via a Type-C interface. A universal adapter accommodates multiple fiber diameters without the need to change blocks, and the unit is supplied with a protective soft carrying case.
