Tornado Max configuration with the Power Pack (89099)
Designed to be safe, fast, and effective, the Tornado fiber blowing machine installs fiber optic cable into pre-installed innerduct or direct buried innerduct with ease. A conversion kit allows this versatile GMP blower to place either 12.7, 12/10 mm, or 10/8 mm micro ducts into innerduct as well, making it a go-to fiber optic blower for a variety of applications.
Comprised of an aluminum air box and cable pusher, the Tornado uses compressed air for blowing fiber with or without a missile. In operation, the hydraulically powered belt drive system controls the cable as it is propelled through the innerduct, ensuring smooth and reliable cable blowing. An electronic monitoring system provides readouts of speed and distance, helps protect cable against damage, and includes an emergency stop for safety.
The air box and cable pusher are mounted on a lightweight, tubular-steel frame that can be tilted at a 30-degree angle to the manhole, minimizing any bending of the innerduct and cable. The frame features retractable handles for easy maneuverability and adjustable rear legs for stability on uneven terrain. This complete fiber blower system includes a gasoline engine-powered hydraulic power pack, making it a dependable blowing machine for professional installations.
