DESCRIPTION

Temporarily connect test instruments such as OTDR’s, OPM’s and VFL’s to fiber under test.

OVERVIEW

  • Provides a fast method of temporarily connecting a fiber under test to a test instrument.
  • Measure the length of fiber on a spool with an OTDR without having to connectorize the fiber spool
  • Measure the optical power present on a fiber without a connector
  • Temporarily connect a VFL to a fiber so that the technician can inject visible light onto a fiber that does not have a connector
