Bare Fiber Adapter
DESCRIPTION
Temporarily connect test instruments such as OTDR’s, OPM’s and VFL’s to fiber under test.
OVERVIEW
- Provides a fast method of temporarily connecting a fiber under test to a test instrument.
- Measure the length of fiber on a spool with an OTDR without having to connectorize the fiber spool
- Measure the optical power present on a fiber without a connector
- Temporarily connect a VFL to a fiber so that the technician can inject visible light onto a fiber that does not have a connector
